Program gives cancer patients help to recover

February 27, 2011- The Oncology Home Care Program at Southeastern Home Health Services is more about living than dying. Unlike hospice, the service helps people like Telford resident, Yvonne Thompson, to recover their normal lives as quickly as possible.

Life Transitions Support Group

February 21, 2011- Southeastern Home Health Services and Arbor Terrace at Chestnut Hill are teaming up to offer a support group to anyone with loved ones seeking help transitioning from home to senior living. The group provides support to adults who are experiencing stress relating to caring for a parent or older adult, an opportunity to learn from others who have transitioned loved ones from home to senior living, and a forum to share strategies and information for coping with transitions, separation, loss and grief. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month 6:30pm-8pm,  inside Arbor Terrace at Chestnut Hill -Philadelphia, and facilitated by Gary Kozick, LCSW. SHHS on Phoenixville Community TV

Dec. 6, 2010 - Tobe Robinson from our Pediatric Homecare Program joined Mandy Blake-German for a 30 minute TV interview on “For the Health of It” – a community show taped in Phoenixville focused on health services in the Chester and Montgomery county area. The discussion focused on SHHS home care services, the changing demographics in our region, and a specific focus on the Oncology and Pediatric homecare programs. Tobe highlighted our unique Pediatric home care program, the Mentoring Program offered in our Downingtown branch, and details about our skilled/ clinical services. The TV show will air December 2010-January 2011 on the following community TV channels:

• Phoenixville Community TV – Channel 22 (Comcast subscribers)
• Pottstown Community TV – Channel 29 (Comcast subscribers)
• Radnor Community TV -  Channel 21 (Comcast and Verizon subscribers)
